QCF ALLIES GUIDE
"LGBTQ+ allyship isn't all glitter and rainbows."
Raised in a conservative Pentecostal home, I thought I knew what to do when my older sister came out as a lesbian in high school—love the sinner, hate the sin, and pray the gay away. For years I thought affirming LGBTQ+ identities was incompatible with my faith in Jesus.
I was wrong.
And now I'm passionate about advocating for LGBTQ+ liberation, especially in churches. Over the summer of 2020, I partnered with Q Christian Fellowship—an organization dedicated to cultivating community for LGBTQ+ Christians—to create a guide for cis-hetero people interested in doing the work of allyship. Of all my writing projects, this one delighted me the most. I hope it delights you too.
